Goodman 5-5 Against Crimson Tide Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Joe Goodman. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Goodman went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Alabama pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at Ballpark of Bismarck College, he had a career 5-5 day and something he will long remember. And the Florida Gators had a 13-10 victory over the Crimson Tide. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Joe Goodman doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Joe Brandt in the 8th. Posting a .389 batting average to date, Goodman has 18 home runs and 51 RBIs. |
