Ostendorff Bashes 3 HR for Alabama Monday, April 23rd, 2018 Fans from Alabama are still buzzing after Alabama whipped the Tar Heels 14-3 today at Titans Ballpark. Sal Ostendorff smashed three home runs in the game. This is a feat that few players ever achieve and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, he was asked what it felt like to hit three home runs in one game. Ostendorff answered, "To get one homer is special... two is great... three is just unbelievable!" Sal Ostendorff hit a three-run home run off Kenneth Bisson in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Valentín in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Bill Bennett in the 7th and walked in the 8th. This year Ostendorff is hitting .305 with 11 home runs. |
