Louisiana-Layfayette's Padilla to Miss 4 Months Friday, April 20th, 2018 It took the Louisiana-Layfayette team doctor a while to realize it, but reliever Saśl Padilla won't simply play through shoulder inflammation after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Titans-Ragin Cajuns game. At first, it looked like Padilla might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 4 months. This year Padilla has made 15 relief appearances with no saves. In 19 innings, he has permitted 14 hits, fanned 14 hitters and recorded no wins and no losses with a 5.21 ERA. |
