Dunn Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, March 19th, 2018 It was high-5 day at Ballpark of Ridge College, at least for Dana Dunn of the North Carolina Tar Heels. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Missouri Tigers. Dunn smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 22-4 win. His manager said, "Dana was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Dana Dunn hit a solo-shot off Greg Huber in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. In 13 games this season Dunn has compiled a .386 batting average with 22 hits and 2 home runs. He has also scored 16 times and knocked in 7 runs. |
