Stanford Starting Pitcher Out
Sunday, March 18th, 2018
Clark King at first refused to leave today's Houston-Stanford game after he suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Stanford starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep King out of action for 8-9 months.
