Pennington on Fire: 5-6 for Long Beach State Sunday, March 18th, 2018 The 49'ers tripped up the Sun Devils 17-11 today, led by Edward Pennington, their 22-year-old third baseman. He tagged Arizona State pitching for 5 hits, making life miserable for them the entire game. Edward Pennington struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Claudio Domínguez in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This year Pennington has hit at a .314 clip with 16 hits, 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
