Collins Fires Shutout in Auburn Win Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012 A masterful pitching performance carried the Auburn Tigers to a 9-0 victory over Tennessee. Jason Collins held them scoreless in a complete-game effort. He permitted 4 hits, had 4 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk. The skipper of the Volunteers said, "Collins was sharp. We never did figure him out." Collins has a 6-3 season record so far. In 11 starts, he has fanned 64 batters in 71.1 innings with a 4.04 ERA. |
