Walker of Texas A&M Named Best Pitcher Monday, May 22nd, 2017 The Cy Young Award for 2017 has been presented and the Rod Dedeaux League winner is Tim Walker of Texas A&M. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Walker. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Aggies star told reporters. Walker excelled with an impressive 7-0 record in 10 starts. In 68.2 innings he yielded 42 hits and 9 walks, while striking out 67 and compiling a fine 1.05 ERA. |
