Cougars Hitless Against Navarro Friday, April 21st, 2017 The Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns and their fans had a lot to celebrate today as 20-year-old hurler António Navarro no-hit the Houston Cougars 14-0 at Field of the Dukes. "He mixed his pitches well, hit his spots...and got some help from above," said his pitching coach. "António really took it to another level today." On his record-setting day Navarro had 15 strikeouts and 1 walk. His manager added, "I don't remember a better pitched game. And how about our defense, too. We played some good 'D' today." Thus far this season, Navarro has tossed 58 innings in 10 starts, fanned 93 batters, walked 17 and put up a 3.41 ERA with 4 wins and 1 loss. |
