Cougars Lara Smacks 5 Hits Monday, April 10th, 2017 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Washington State's António Lara had a very special day against the 49'ers when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Washington State Cougars to a 26-4 win at Tribe Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Lara said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." António Lara singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Karl Coffey in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 8th. |
