Dean Sizzles -- Smokes Golden Bears for 5 Hits Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 No matter what the California Golden Bears threw at him today, Zach Dean hit it. He easily handled Golden Bears pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Wildcats to a 16-2 triumph at Red Wings Ballpark. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The California skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Zach Dean singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. In 17 games this year Dean has posted a .385 average and put up these numbers: no home runs, 2 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
