Ford Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle
Sunday, April 2nd, 2017
Brad Ford produced one of the rarest feats in baseball today when he hit for the cycle against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Florida State 9-8 win at Ballpark of Riverdale College.

Afterward, Ford acknowledged that his accomplishment was special, but he was more interested in helping the Seminoles just win some ballgames. At the postgame press conference, he said, "Maybe one day I'll look back on this day with more meaning, but right now I just want to come out tomorrow and put some good swings on the ball, get a few hits and help my club win another game."

On his historic day, he went 4-5 with 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored -- and also got a spot in the league record books. Maybe one day way down the road he will get out the record book and reminisce about his extra special day in baseball.

Brad Ford flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run triple in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Dennis Hensley in the 9th.

This year Ford is hitting .427 with 2 home runs and 18 RBIs in 24 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .490 with 11 walks and 16 runs scored.
