Manager Rob Lewis Booted out in Stanford Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 Rob Lewis's tenure with the Stanford Cardinals is over. Lewis was officially fired from his position as team manager today, following a two-hour closed-door meeting with the club's owner and general manager. "We certainly didn't see eye-to-eye on every issue, but I guess at the end of the day they feel the team is better off without me running it. There's not much I can do about that," Lewis told BNN. "Do I want to stay here and try to turn this team around? Of course I do, but such is life." Team officials have remained unusually quiet on the specific reasons behind the firing and have thus far refused to discuss the issue with media. |
