Anderson Tags Sun Devils for 5 Hits Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Clarence Anderson of the Washington State Cougars had a sensational game against Arizona State at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 15-2 shellacking of the Sun Devils. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did ,it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off. Right, skipper?" Clarence Anderson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Edwin Brennan in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Eddie Clarke in the 9th. Thus far this year Anderson has hit .418 with 8 home runs and 21 RBIs. |
