#1 Pitcher Trophy Won by Longhorns Hill Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 The Cy Young Award for 2016 has been presented and the Rod Dedeaux League winner is Bob Hill of Texas. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Hill. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Longhorns star told reporters. Hill excelled with an impressive 8-0 record in 12 starts. In 79.2 innings he yielded 50 hits and 18 walks, while striking out 96 and compiling a fine 2.03 ERA. |
