North Carolina Fires Manager, Whitfield Will Be Replaced Monday, May 16th, 2016 Jack Whitfield has been released as the North Carolina manager. The Tar Heels say it is time to make a change and get the club headed in a different direction. The dismissed skipper was philosophical about his fate, telling reporters, "When things don't go right, the first thing management does is get a new manager. That seems to be the quickest solution to making things better -- or at least, making them seem better. That's just the way baseball is." |
