Holland on Fire: 5-5 for Louisiana-Layfayette Thursday, May 21st, 2015 Andrew Holland of the Ragin Cajuns was unstoppable in today's 8-1 victory over the Long Beach State 49'ers at Ballpark of Macclenny College. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Louisiana-Layfayette catcher after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will." Andrew Holland doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Holland has hit at a .494 clip and produced 20 RBI, 4 home runs and 22 runs. |
