Ortíz Hitless, Stopped by Bears Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 UCLA shortstop Juan Ortíz knew his hitting streak would end sooner or later. He just would have preferred later. Ortíz went 0-for-3 today in the Bruins 6-2 victory over the Baylor Bears, snapping his 23-game hit streak. In 28 games this season Ortíz has compiled a .359 batting average with 42 hits and 3 home runs. He has also scored 21 times and knocked in 18 runs. |
