Howell Hittin' on All Cylinders Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 Florida's Justin Howell hit for the cycle today, but his club still went home with their heads hung low. The Gators were upended by the South Illinois Salukis 9-6. "It was a good game for me," Howell said. "I wish it could have been a good game for all of us." The Gators center fielder sparked the offense with a truly special performance, hitting a single, double, triple and home run to add his name to the record books. Still, it wasn't enough to stop South Illinois. Howell went 4-for-4 for the game with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI. Justin Howell hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Sansan Reininho in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Howell has collected 21 hits for the Gators this year, 3 of them home runs. He has also netted 12 RBIs and scored 9 runs while batting .438. |
