2-Game Suspension for Taylor Friday, May 2nd, 2014 The baseball commissioner has suspended Salukis shortstop Greg Taylor 2 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Tennessee game at Madera College Grounds. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Taylor said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." In 20 games this season Taylor is batting .183 with 11 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 4 runs and driven in 5. |
