League KO's Golden Eagles-Sun Devils Players with 7-Game Suspensions Saturday, April 12th, 2014 Bad blood could be brewing between the Golden Eagles and the Sun Devils. In yesterday's contest at Ballpark of Storm Lake College, South Mississippi's Octávio Huerta and Arizona State's Michael Cook caused the benches to empty when they went toe-to-toe against one another. Only Huerta and Cook were ejected by the umpires. Upon hearing that the two players had been suspended 7 games each by the league office, harsh comments came from both clubhouses. League officials have warned both organizations about the consequences of premeditated retaliation. In his 2014 season totals, Huerta has 1 home run, .205 BA, .279 OBP, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. |
