Shawn Dunn Captures SBL Award Monday, May 6th, 2013 North Carolina Tar Heels first baseman Shawn Dunn walked away with the Skip Bertman League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Tar Heels fans are really behind me right now," said the 20-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Dunn batted .480 (12-25) with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs this week on his way to the award. This year Dunn has hit at a .358 clip with 21 RBIs, 8 home runs and 23 runs scored. |
