Ellis Picked SBL Player of the Week Monday, April 22nd, 2013 Pitchers who faced the South Illinois Salukis last week were happy to see Steve Ellis in the rear view mirror. The 21-year-old catcher was dubbed the Skip Bertman League Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .417 clip. For the week He also chalked up 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 6 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This season Ellis has 7 home runs and a .303 batting average. |
