Heida Wins BOL Player of the Week Monday, August 27th, 2012 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Buck O'Neil League, but last week Ryoma Heida of the Victoria Vikings reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Heida rocked opposing pitching for a .481 average (13-27), 3 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Heida has 26 home runs and a .273 batting average. |
