League KO's Frosties-Jedi Knights Players with 10-Game Suspensions Friday, September 28th, 2018 Kiril Pomortsev of the Barrow Frosties was not happy with Nathan Myers, and his frustration showed when he went after the New Orleans player during yesterday's game at The Blizzard Bowl. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Pomortsev and Myers were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game. Both players were suspended 10 games by the league office as a result of their tussle. "It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Pomortsev commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings." In the current season, Pomortsev has put up a .328 batting average with 79 hits, 9 home runs, 57 runs batted in and scored 41 runs. Checking out his season stats to date, Myers has 1 save in 76 relief appearances with a 7-5 record and 4.47 ERA. |
