Big Day with Bat: Parsons 5-5 Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 Ernest Parsons really sizzled at the plate today. The Bel Air third baseman blistered the Sanford Stingrays for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his club's 6-5 defeat. "Parsons was too tough to get out today," the Stingrays skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win. That's the bottom line. We ain't playin' for stats." Ernest Parsons hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ramón Jiménez in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. This season Parsons is batting .263 with 73 RBIs, 56 runs scored and 15 home runs. |
