Red-Hot Yoshida Scorches Saints Wednesday, September 12th, 2018 It was high-5 day at Old Bay Park, at least for Shiro Yoshida of the Baltimore Blue Claws. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the St. Paul Saints. Yoshida smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 10-3 win. His manager said, "Shiro was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Shiro Yoshida hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This season Yoshida is swinging the bat at a .337 rate with 155 hits in 460 at-bats. To date he has hit 16 home runs, scored 92 runs and driven in 89. |
