4-Game Suspension for Ortíz Friday, September 7th, 2018 "Deplorable conduct will not be tolerated in this league, especially if it is directed toward our umpires." That was the gist of the league commissioner's notification letter to the Barrow Frosties organization advising them that second baseman Alejandro Ortíz had been suspended for 4 games for his heated confrontation with the home plate umpire in yesterday's game with Kingwood. He became furious over a called third strike. Ortíz is currently batting .250 with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs. |
