Murayama and Sato Suspended 4 Games Saturday, June 30th, 2018 Yesterday at The Blizzard Bowl Tomomi Murayama and Ken Sato got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Barrow Frosties and New Orleans Jedi Knights. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified both ballclubs that Murayama and Sato would be given 4-game suspensions for fighting. For the season Murayama is hitting .234, batted in 19 runs with 1 home run and 24 runs scored. So far this season Sato has compiled a 0-6 record with a 7.02 ERA. |
