Pérez Fires Shutout in Houston Win Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 Alfonso Pérez of the Houston Sting shut down the New Orleans Jedi Knights 13-0 on a 2-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 7 strikeouts and allowing no walks. After the game Pérez said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count." In 12 starts this season, Pérez has picked up 5 wins while suffering 6 losses.
