Afendulov's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends Friday, June 1st, 2018 The Kingwood Knights lost to the Sanford Stingrays 3-1 today at Stable Park, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Alek Afendulov's 20-game hitting streak. "We felt if we could slow down Afendulov, we would win the game," the Stingrays manager explained after the game. "They really seemed to feed off of his streak, so we really wanted to make sure they had nothing to feed off of." This year Afendulov has hit at a .323 clip with 62 hits, 4 home runs, 29 RBIs and 33 runs scored. |
