Great May Gets Johnston AHL Best Hitter Award Friday, June 1st, 2018 Steve Johnston put together a good May to earn the August Herrman League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Palm Beach officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Bums first baseman posted a .375 batting average with 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Johnston is presently batting .314 with 13 home runs, 40 runs scored and 47 RBIs. His OBP is .417. |
