Greene and Davis Brawl, League Suspends Them
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017
Wilford Greene of the Coney Island Cyclones was not happy with Jim Davis, and his frustration showed when he went after the Las Vegas player during yesterday's game at Coney Island Coliseum. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Greene and Davis were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game.

Both players were suspended 4 games by the league office as a result of their tussle.

"It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Greene commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings."

This year Greene has hit at a .271 pace and produced 56 RBIs, 10 home runs and scored 65 runs.

Davis's record so far this season is 5-and-4 with 3 saves and a 2.80 ERA. He has given up 80 hits in 90 innings with 118 strikeouts.
