AHL Awards Best Batter Prize to McGowan Monday, July 31st, 2017 Tempe Titans right fielder Steve McGowan had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the August Herrman League named him Player of the Week. McGowan banged out 11 hits in 23 at-bats on the way to a .478 batting average. He also racked up 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored. McGowan on the season is batting .266 with 9 home runs. His totals include 54 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has played in 102 games. |
