BOL Player of the Week Selected Monday, June 26th, 2017 Carl Mitchell must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .409 clip, then the Winfield first baseman finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the BOL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Mitchell batted .409 (9-22) with 4 home runs and 18 RBIs. Presently Mitchell is hitting .362 with 6 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 23 games and scored 14 times. |
