Kingwood's Barretti Down with Injury Sunday, June 25th, 2017 It took the Kingwood team doctor a while to realize it, but reliever Pietro Barretti won't simply play through a torn flexor tendon in his elbow after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Blue Claws-Knights game. At first, it looked like Barretti might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 13-14 months. Crunching the numbers on Barretti for the year, he has made 6 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark and 6.00 ERA. In pitching 6 innings, he has totaled 10 strikeouts and 9 walks. |
