League Suspends Roberts and Suzuki for Brawl Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 Cherry Hill's Erik Roberts and Houston's Yukichi Suzuki have been handed 6-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at Tim Raines Stadium. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Roberts and Suzuki provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. Roberts is hitting .394 this season with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 13 hits in 33 at-bats. This season Suzuki has made 30 relief appearances and saved 0 games. His record is 3-1 with 28 strikeouts in 39.2 innings with a 5.90 ERA. |
