Hitting Streak Still Alive for Blanchard Monday, May 29th, 2017 And the streak goes on. Alan Blanchard collected another hit in the Mustangs 14-2 win over the Jedi Knights. The San Angelo right fielder was 3-for-5 in the game. After the game, Blanchard commented on his 25-game hitting streak. "I'm not doing too much, just trying to get the bat on the ball and put it in play." His manager said, "Alan makes it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day." Alan Blanchard walked in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. To date, Blanchard has collected 68 hits for a .337 average. He has posted 5 home runs, scored 45 runs and driven in 41 runs. |
