Akamatsu Sidelined for 8-9 Months Monday, May 15th, 2017 Bums reliever Otojiro Akamatsu was hurt throwing a pitch during today's Hornets game and suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He will be laid up about 8-9 months. Akamatsu has earned no saves and a 1-1 mark this season with a 2.13 earned run average in 16 relief appearances. He has worked 25.1 innings, yielded 19 hits, struck out 32 batters and walked 13. |
