Chippewa starter John Burns tamed the Winfield Warriors 10-0 with a 1-hit shutout, finishing the game with 11 strikeouts and 2 walks in a sharp outing. "I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," Burns said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive." His record this season is 5-1 in 7 starts and Burns has a 2.66 ERA. |
