Mullen Picks up BOL Monthly Pitching Honor Saturday, October 1st, 2016 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Wes Mullen, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The San Angelo Mustangs reliever, 23, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .092 average and walked away with the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month award for September. Mullen posted a 5-0 mark and a 0.78 ERA in 17 relief appearances. In 23 innings, he had 2 saves, 31 strikeouts, and 3 walks. This season Mullen has made 83 relief appearances and saved 8 games. His record is 12-3 with 134 strikeouts in 107 innings with a 1.51 ERA. |
