Sato Snags AHL Top Hurler Trophy Friday, July 1st, 2016 When Akihito Sato takes the mound, a Roman victory is usually the result. At least that's the way it was in June. He excelled with a 4-2 mark and a 2.06 ERA in 7 starts, tossed 43.2 innings, fanned 51 and held opposing batters to a .182 average. That's why the Fascists starter was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the August Herrman League. Sato has a 8-8 season record so far. In 18 starts, he has fanned 100 batters in 104.1 innings with a 3.45 ERA. |
