Kingwood Starting Pitcher Hurt Thursday, June 9th, 2016 Watching Jim Dixon getting helped off the field today at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium, fans of the Kingwood Knights feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 4 months with shoulder inflammation. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Dixon suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Mustangs. This season Dixon has compiled a 1-1 mark with a 4.66 ERA. |
