AHL Honors Kent, Best Hitter in September Thursday, October 1st, 2015 For a rookie just breaking in, Jeff Kent certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the AHL Batter of the Month award for September. The 23-year-old left fielder for the Penzance Pirates hit .368 with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Kent is hitting .309 this season with 8 home runs, 81 RBIs and 108 runs scored. He has 181 hits in 585 at-bats. |
