Ouch! Ryan Schafer Shelved by Injury Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 After the end of today's game between Whitewater and Bethesda, Ryan Schafer skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Eagles had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 5 months with a fractured elbow. This season Schafer has nailed down 2 saves with 60 strikeouts in 57.1 innings. He is credited with 4 wins and 5 losses and has a 3.61 earned run average. |
