Jones Superb Against Winfield Sunday, August 2nd, 2015 Mike Jones was in command in his outing against the Winfield Warriors. He hurled the Huntsville Sabercats to a 7-0 shutout victory, yielded 3 hits and chalked up 8 strikeouts and no walks. "A complete-game shutout. That's fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen." This season Jones has worked 42.1 innings with 33 strikeouts en route to a 2-1 record and a 1.70 ERA. |
