Vega Belts Bunch of Base Hits Monday, July 6th, 2015 It was a parade of hits for Pedro Vega of the Houston Sting... one right after another... a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Penzance Pirates for 5 hits in his 6 at-bats and propelled the Sting to a 4-2 victory. "Vega was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Pirates manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Pedro Vega doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 14th. Vega is batting .265 with 12 home runs and 41 RBIs this season. |
