Setback Forces Chippewa's Cools To Retire Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 Chippewa center fielder Sjelle Cools has been diagnosed with a concussion, an injury so severe that will end his baseball career. "It's very disappointing," Cools told reporters today. "It was totally unexpected, which makes it a little bit harder to deal with." Doctors originally thought he would have a full recovery. The 19-year-old Cools has been in treatment and reported he was making great progress, when things suddenly went sour. He told BNN, "It went from good to bad... and then finally, to the worst case - doctors said my career is over." |
