League Suspends Las Vegas's Boyd Sunday, September 28th, 2014 Las Vegas shortstop Peter Boyd was ejected in the game between the Lost and Frosties for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Boyd was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Boyd said in the locker room after the game. Now Boyd must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Boyd has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 3 games." This season Boyd is batting at a .257 clip with 7 home runs and 44 RBIs. |
