Sabercats Wooten Snags AHL Player of the Week Monday, July 21st, 2014 At the age of 26, Carl Wooten might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Huntsville second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .833 batting average. For his efforts Wooten collected the August Herrman League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 5 hits in 6 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBIs last week in 3 games. Wooten is batting .444 this year with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 16 hits in 36 at-bats. |
